RN Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy

Do you want to make changes in your life, your relationship, your self concept, behaviors or addictions?

My RN psychotherapy services are offered remotely by Zoom in Ontario and In-person in the St. Thomas area. I help teens, adults and seniors struggling with a crisis, anxiety, anger, depression, grief, addiction, relationships, OR who just want to level up their mental health for more peace AND who are motivated to create real change in their lives.

In therapy, you will explore the root of the thoughts disturbing your peace and why you are completely innocent based on your early childhood experiences. We create change primarily through your will for that change, increasing self love, and strengthening your skills. By modeling a healthy relationship within the context of the nurse-client relationship, I will assist you in using our interaction as a catalyst for self-awareness, self-compassion, authenticity and change to help you achieve your goals.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a foundational approach for changing the way we see ourselves, others and the world. By bringing awareness to situations that trigger us, and the perception that causes people or situations to trigger us we can start the process of identifying a healed perception and release attack and judgment of ourselves and others.  Identification of core beliefs like "I am unlovable" , "I am incapable", or "I am not enough" reflective of our early childhood  conditioning brings to light why we interpret things the way we do, and gives us a compassionate way out of old relationship patterns, addiction, and self harming behaviours.

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) skills have a focus of mindfulness at their foundation. By tapping into your "wise mind" with breath, stillness, and presence, the skills bring transformation and emotional regulation towards peace. Like CBT, we bring clarity to your thoughts and perceptions to change your behaviour, but with added self-awareness and mindfulness skills we can go deeper in healing.

My goal is to give you the skills so you can be your own therapist.

CBT and DBT skills are proven to help with depression, panic attacks, anger, guilt, shame, low self-esteem, eating disorders, substance abuse, and relationship problems, and personality disorders. Healed Mind Therapy (HTM) incorporates both approaches with the addition of healed mind philosophy to give direction to the shifts and guide the mind towards peace.

If you have spiritual beliefs this can be helpful and incorporated into our sessions. There is meaning and purpose to your life.

Sessions are 50 minutes in length.

What is offered:

  • Healed Mind Therapy sessions with a focus on giving gentle correction to your thoughts and learning skills to make your life better.
  • You can learn CBT by using CBT worksheets done in session on a digital whiteboard sent following session-this is optional based on preference.
  • Practical Skills to self regulate, manage anxiety, anger, improve functioning, motivation and self love.
  • Someone who will tell you the truth and guide you in healing any area of your life you want to change with compassion and non judgement.
  • Addiction Therapy and safe detox as needed & wanted- both behavioral (food, social media, ect) and chemical addiction (substances).
  • A philosophy that releases attack thoughts, leading to compassion, loving actions and peace.

Reach out to set up a no-cost initial 15 minute consultation call to talk about therapy and learn how I can help you make things better.

*At this time, I do not provide services outside of the province of Ontario, or to children under 13.

* I happily see couples separately and I am able to provide therapy to multiple family members individually.  When multiple people in a home have HMT skills and perception the environment changes towards love quickly. Let's chat about it!
